What the Marketplace is for

The Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov or your state exchange) is where individuals and families can compare ACA-compliant plans and apply for financial help based on household income.

When you can enroll

Most people enroll during Open Enrollment. Outside that window, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period after events like losing job coverage, getting married, having a baby, or moving.

Steps to enroll

Confirm you're eligible to apply
